How often should I listen to my Hypnosis MP3 Audios?
We suggest that you listen to your hypnosis MP3 at least once a day for the length of one week. However, we also suggest that you listen to your hypnosis MP3 as often as you feel comfortable doing so. If you feel that you are noticing results already and would like to move on to another Hypnosis MP3 Audio, please feel free to do so. Most people become aware of noticeable results after only one listen.
How many hypnosis sessions can I listen to at one time? Does listening to more than one cancel out the other?
You may listen to as many hypnosis sessions at one time as you feel comfortable doing. The key is comfort. If you notice stress because you are trying to make too many changes at once, lessen the number of MP3s you are listening to. There is no specific number of sessions a person can listen to at one time. Just go with what feels right for you. Listening to more than one Hypnosis MP3 Audio at a time will not cancel out another. Your overall goal is to achieve a state of happiness within your everyday life.
Do I need to listen to the "Intro To Hypnosis" track each time I listen to my Hypnosis MP3 Audio?
NO. The "Intro To Hypnosis" track is for learning what hypnosis is and what you can expect to experience while in hypnosis. We only ask that you listen to this track one time. You may skip this track any time after and you may skip this track on other hypnosis MP3s also.
Will I lose control in hypnosis?
Absolutely not. Quite the opposite is true. You cannot be controlled while in hypnosis. Hypnosis is about learning self-control. You will not enter hypnosis unless you want to enter hypnosis. You will not accept suggestions while in hypnosis unless you want to accept the suggestions given to you. You always have control. The hypnotherapist is only a guide using his understanding and skills to show you how to make the changes you want.
Will I blackout while I’m in hypnosis?
No. You will be fully aware while in hypnosis. As a matter of fact, you will notice a heightened state of awareness and a connection to insight of self realization.
Is hypnosis safe?
Yes. Hypnosis is always a safe modality for self improvement. There are many misconceptions held by the public about hypnosis. Most of these misconceptions have been created by movies and over sensationalized stories. When you listen to the "Intro To Hypnosis" track on your Hypnosis MP3 Audio, these misconceptions will be revealed.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a heightened state of awareness which creates a natural pathway from conscious mind to subconscious mind so suggestions can be accepted for self improvement.
How does hypnosis work?
Hypnosis is a process of distracting the conscious mind so the subconscious mind can be open to accepting suggestions without interference of over analytical and critical thinking. Mostly, this is done by bringing one’s focus to the relaxing of mind and body.
Who can be hypnotized?
Anyone who can follow very simple and easy instructions can be hypnotized. So pretty much everyone who wants to be hypnotized. We have found that the only people that have a hard time being hypnotized are people that hold some kind of fear about being hypnotized. This is because fear creates resistance. Hypnosis is not about control over another person so any resistance hinders the ability to enter hypnosis. No worry for you. The "Intro To Hypnosis" track on your MP3 Audio will teach you all you need to know about hypnosis to eliminate any fear about hypnosis.

Simple Technique To Help Prepare For Hypnosis
Here is a great technique to help you prepare for your new adventures in hypnosis. The following 3 steps will help you tune your mental focus and increase your ability to relax deeply. By practicing these steps before your hypnosis session(s), you will be training your mind to center your attention on the hypnotherapist’s suggestions without conscious interruption. Practice these steps as much as you like. Remember, practice makes perfect.
These techniques are based on a progressive relaxation hypnotic induction. You may find that when practicing these techniques, you will induce a light state of self- hypnosis. This is perfectly OK and normal if this happens. You will also find that you are completely aware and in control if you do go into a light state of self hypnosis. This just meaning that you can emerge yourself any time you wish by simply opening your eyes.
With that said, let me show you these 3 easy steps. I truly believe that you will enjoy this technique.
Pick a time when you have 30 minutes to yourself and you can easily sit in a chair or lay down comfortably without interruption. This may be in the morning, afternoon or at night. If you have 30 minutes in the morning, this technique is a great way to start your day.
As you are sitting or lying down, take a deep breath, exhale and allow yourself to begin to relax. After a few seconds, begin to relax your body slowly from head to toe. You do this by focusing on one part of your body at a time and relaxing that part of your body until you notice relaxation set in. This may be quick, but take some time to enjoy the relaxation.
The easiest way to ensure that you are relaxing your entire body is to start at your head and then move slowly down to your toes. This is done as follows:
A. Start at your scalp (top of your head) and just begin to relax your scalp until you notice relaxation setting in. Perhaps you will notice tingling or heaviness. Then you move on.
B. Now move to your eyes and begin to relax your eyes until you notice relaxation begin. Enjoy this feeling for a while. Then move on.
C. Now move to your cheeks and let them sag deeply into relaxation. Enjoy this feeling for a while. Then move on.
D. Now move to your chin and relax your chin until your jaw relaxes deeply. Then move on.
E. Now move to your neck and shoulders, allowing them to relax deeply together. You may notice a nice heaviness set in. Then move on.
F. At this point, you move down your arms to your hands and fingers. Then to your chest, back and the rest of your entire body until you finally finish with your toes. Relax each part of your body individually.
Once you have relaxed each part of your body, begin to relax your mind. Allow your mind to clear of any thoughts as you drift into pure relaxation for a few minutes. Whenever you are ready, open your eyes.
This technique is very simple and you may find that you enjoy practicing this over and over. If you like this, try relaxing your body from head to toe, then go back to the top of your head and relax your body from head to toe again. See if you can cause each body part to relax deeper than the first time.
I put these steps together for you to enjoy your own ability to relax deeply and to allow you to prepare your mind and body for hypnosis. We do not require you to practice these steps for your hypnosis program(s) to be effective.
Keep in mind that relaxation has nothing to do with hypnosis, but relaxation may be used in your hypnosis program(s) to bypass conscious thinking and induce hypnosis.
What If I Can’t Be Hypnotized
I hear this quite often.“I can’t be hypnotized.”Sometimes this is being said as a defense mechanism due to fear of hypnosis and, sadly, sometimes this is being said because another hypnotist did not have the skill-set to properly induce hypnosis, leaving the failure on the client.
Every one with the ability to follow simple instructions can be hypnotized. YES, I said every one. If you can follow along with the hypnotist’s instructions and suggestions, you can enter a nice state of hypnosis. You only need to allow it to happen. In order for you to allow hypnosis to happen, it is important that you do not have any fear of hypnosis. A good hypnotist/hypnotherapist will take the time to explain what hypnosis will be like for you.
But, did you know that you enter hypnosis, all on your own, many times throughout the day? Hypnosis is actually a very natural state of mind. Most think that hypnosis requires having your eyes closed and to be in a completely relaxed (almost coma) state of being. Not true.
The following are some examples of natural occurring states of hypnosis.
1. Reading A Book
Reading is a natural state of hypnosis. While we read a book which is really enjoyable, we tend to get drawn right into the story. We can feel what the characters feel. Our focus becomes entirely inward as our mind creates images, sounds, smells, and sensations in response to the words in the book. How many times have you become aware that time slipped by without your outer awareness or you completely blocked out all of the noises around you while you read a favorite book? This is natural hypnosis taking place. By getting lost in a great book, you are accessing more of your subconscious abilities and using less of your conscious awareness.
2. Watching A Movie or Television
Much like reading a book, movies and television shows create a hypnotic state. Once again, you begin to relate to and feel what the characters are doing. You find your focus completely drawn into what is happening on the screen. How many times have you almost jumped out of your seat to cheer for the underdog or have you yelled out “Run!” when the killer was lurking closer to the victim? You are having emotional reactions to something that you know is not real, but yet you know its safe to play along. You are letting your conscious guard down to enjoy the show. This, once again, is hypnosis taking place naturally.
3. Driving A Car
This is a fun one. Anyone who has been a driver for a while will recognize this. There is even a term for this. It’s called Highway Hypnosis.
Highway hypnosis takes place when you are driving and you begin to get lost in your thoughts. You could be thinking about anything”¦.last night, things to do today, something you heard on the news, etc”¦ Before you know it, you have arrived at your destination”¦”¦..and you cannot consciously recall anything from the drive. You don’t remember stopping at stop signs. You don’t remember making that turn you usually make. You don’t remember if all of the stop lights were green. And if you’re like me, I tend to realize I’m driving to work instead of meeting my girlfriend at the new restaurant in town.
This usually happens when we drive a route we are accustomed to driving. Your subconscious mind creates a pattern of this route and when you drift into thought, your subconscious mind does the driving. Your mind is so brilliant that it knows to take that left turn, stop at stop signs, and drive you safely to where you need to be. Incredible!!
Hypnosis is know as a heighten state of awareness, but it can also be defined as a heightened state of learning. While focused on something which we truly want to learn, the conscious mind will step aside and allow the subconscious mind to absorb the information we are learning. We are choosing to accept this information as true so there is no reason for the conscious mind to block it. Of course, just because you are learning something new, doesn’t mean that you have to believe it or accept it as the truth. No matter what is happening, you always have the choice to consciously block information that you do not agree with. It is the complete focus and the choice to accept new information that makes learning a state of hypnosis.
5. Being A Child
Probably the most fascinating thing I’ve learned about hypnosis is the fact that from the age of birth up to about the age of 7 years old, children have no way of blocking information from their subconscious minds. Children, through these ages, have not developed what we call “the critical factor of the conscious mind”. The critical factor is the ability to decide what is truth and what isn’t.
You see, children have nothing to base on what is true and what is false until they have observed enough of the world around them. This is why doctors and psychologists believe these years to be the most crucial in developing a person’s identity. Children accept everything as truth and develop upon that. Children are in a constant state of hypnosis.
This information isn’t to frighten any parents out there. There are many other contributing factors to the development of a child and it takes quit a bit of re-enforcing of a negative suggestion to become firm in one’s belief system. When I am around children, I do my best to always tell them how much they are loved. Being loved is what children need the most.
What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis And The Mind Explained
Let’s begin by viewing the definition of hypnosis as given by The United States government.
Hypnosis Is The Bypass of The Critical Factor of The Conscious Mind And The Establishment of Acceptable Selective Thinking
Now you are most likely thinking, “Hold on. What does that mean?” Allow me to break this down so it makes a little more sense and we will begin by understanding how our minds work.
Our Minds Are Divided Into Three Basic Functions
** Unconscious Thinking Mind – Our unconscious mind controls automatic bodily functions such as breathing, digestion, heart rate, metabolism, ect… all the bodily functions which you never need to think about in order for them to work. But with the heightened focus, created through hypnosis, we can improve the functions of the unconscious mind for a more efficient body.
** Subconscious Thinking Mind – Our subconscious mind is where we store patterns of behavior. These are the behaviors which we have developed over time and have created patterns of action/response related to events that happen within our environments. For example: A smoker will, without thought, desire a cigarette after a meal or someone with anxiety will, without knowing why, feel panic at the idea of being in a crowd of his/her peers. These are examples of actions/responses that happen at the subconscious level of the mind based on patterns which were created through past experiences.
The subconscious mind is also where we store our beliefs, beliefs we have formed over our lifetime about ourselves and the world around us. A fascinating fact to be aware of is that the subconscious mind does not bother to differentiate between a belief based on truth and a false belief. As we uncover what our beliefs are, we usually find that the beliefs which have been holding us back are almost always false.
** Conscious Thinking Mind – Our conscious mind is where we do all of our present thinking, the thoughts we have in each moment and the thoughts which we are very aware of. Our conscious minds are designed to perform the functions of being analytical and critical. These functions are to provide the preservation of our beliefs so we can carry out the same behaviors and responses to our environments.
Basically, what happens is that you observe your environments, through your sense – visual (sight), auditory (hearing), olfactory (smell) and kinetic (emotional and physical feeling) – and your conscious analyzes this information coming in through your sense. The conscious mind automatically begins to criticize this information to determine whether or not it supports the beliefs and behavioral patterns within your subconscious mind. If it supports your existing beliefs, the conscious mind allows this information to pass into the subconscious mind to build upon pre-existing beliefs. If it does not support your existing beliefs, the conscious mind blocks this information from entering the subconscious mind. This analytical and critical function is very important in preserving who you are as an individual person, but it is also why we cannot create the changes we want in our lives with just simple conscious thinking.
This Is Where Hypnosis Enters The Scene
With the process of hypnosis, we can distract the conscious mind with deep relaxation to the point where it no longer is analytical and critical of our environment, allowing information supportive of your desired goal to enter the subconscious mind. This creates the opportunity to observe new perceptions conducive to forming positive beliefs and the opportunity to implement new outcomes to negative behavioral patterns.
So what is hypnosis? To sum this up, hypnosis is a very natural state of mind which you have experienced many times before. You will learn more about the natural states of hypnosis when you listen to the “Intro To Hypnosis” track on your Hypnosis MP3 Audio. Hypnosis is the bypass of the analytical and critical factor (functions) of the conscious mind and the establishment of acceptable selective thinking. The establishment of acceptable selective thinking means that, while in hypnosis, you have the ability to accept or not accept, into your subconscious mind, any information that is being provided to you by the hypnotist/hypnotherapist. Yes, that’s right. Even in hypnosis, you have total control. You will also learn more about this when you listen to the “Intro To Hypnosis” track on your Hypnosis MP3 Audio.
