For example, our spirit is not small or big, it is both. Even though our spirit may feel like a small part of a larger whole, it is still made up of the same energy and can become part of the vast universe again.

Let's talk about how to be spiritually powerful in our limited human bodies. These funky, weird flesh suits that serve as home as we move about on this big wobbly blue planet. Each of us has a spiritual self that animates our bodies and infuses our thoughts and feelings. But our language is limited to the world we know when we try to describe our connection to the spiritual world or the feeling we have about our souls when they are things that really cannot be fully comprehended by the human mind.

So how do we become spiritually powerful in this limited reality we find ourselves in moving about in this limited body? Well the first step to become spiritually powerful is of course just to become aware of your spiritual side. If you have never given much thought to your spirituality, start by doing some research on the subject. There are many books and websites that can introduce you to the concepts of spirituality. Once you have a basic understanding of what spirituality is, you can go from there. Until then, it might not even be on your radar, so to speak.

In truth, the self is not small or big but both at the same time. Our spirits are like drops in the ocean of spiritual energy. And although our spirit seems like a small, disconnected part of a larger whole, it is still made of the same things and can become part of the vast ocean once again.

Our individual spirit seems to inhabit our bodies like a passenger in a vehicle but at the same time is not bound by our bodies. Our spirits can reach across the miles to touch the heart of a loved one or expand to become one with the universe. So, we may feel small and perhaps like a baby when we look up at the stars, but in truth, we are made of the same basic elements as those stars.

Perhaps looking at the stars is merely a reflection of what is going on within each atom and cell of our being. We are a universe within a universe. Our spirits are ever renewing, yet ageless and eternal, not new or old but both at once.

So, even though our spiritual self is not small or big, new or old and we experience life as good and bad, right and wrong, happy and sad, this experience is one of this planet, in the material world of dualities, not the whole truth of our eternal spiritual nature.

Even so, there are ways to develop and maintain a strong spiritual presence in our lives as we struggle for balance in our weird little flesh suits.

1) Develop a regular practice: Just as you need to exercise, in order to become spiritually powerful, we must learn to quiet our minds and listen to the guidance of our spirit. We can do this by spending time in nature, meditating, or participating in other activities that help us to connect with our inner selves. When we are attuned to our spiritual side, we can tap into a great reserve of power and strength. This can help us to overcome obstacles and achieve our goals.

2) Be honest with yourself: This seems like a no-brainer, but it's worth repeating. In order to have a healthy spiritual life, you need to be honest about your thoughts, feelings, and motivations. Trying to hide things from yourself will only lead to inner turmoil and spiritual disharmony.

3) Be open to change: Change is a natural part of life, and embracing it can be key to maintaining a strong spiritual presence. If you're resistant to change, you may find yourself struggling to keep up with the flow of life. Learning to go with the flow can help you stay spiritually connected.
